Want your toddler to learn about the magic of collaborative storytelling? Join us for a hands-on workshop where you and your Lil Z will explore our multimedia approach to creativity. For a limited time, each workshop will end with one free trip on the historic Zeum Carousel!

The Learning Experience

The Lil Z's Workshops are designed to build your toddler's:

• Creative Skills - They'll explore a variety of age-appropriate materials and media to create 2D and 3D artwork
• Communication Skills - They'll observe and participate in group activities by listening and sharing their ideas
• Collaboration Skills - They'll work with one another and their caregivers to create their own story using arts and media
• Literacy Skills - They'll listen to stories as they build formal and informal vocabulary. Plus, they'll learn how to play with language through rhyme and dramatization
• Motor Skills - They'll experiment with large and small muscle development, experimenting with movement or modeling clay

After-School Studio

Want to learn the tricks of the trade from our professional artist-educators and meet new friends too? Join us for after-school drop-in studio in our multimedia exhibit spaces: clay animation, music video, or digital workshop.

Cost: Free with General Admission
Time: Wednesday-Fridays 3:00-4:00pm in your favorite exhibit spaces!
Age: 6-18

*All youth under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult

The Learning Experience

The After-School Studio workshops are designed to help youth build:

• Technology Skills - They'll work with professional artist-educators to create hands-on projects that integrate art and technology
• Collaboration Skills - They'll tell their own stories and collaborate with their peers to develop fluency with new media tools
• Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills - They'll communicate with one another to think critically through the creative processes
• Portfolio Building - They'll create a new piece of art each week to add to their multimedia portfolio!
